And remember, unlike many of our competitors, if it shows up on the PetFlyTrap.com web site, it's IN STOCK AND READY FOR SHIPPING! Out of stock items do not show up at all.

Why don't we offer FREE SHIPPING? While many suppliers of non-perishable goods can offer FREE SHIPPING on orders over a certain amount, they usually ship your order via ground service, which can take a week or more to arrive. This is fine for CDs, books, clothes, and the like; but since we deal almost exclusively in live plants, and we want our customers to receive their plants in the best possible condition, this delay is not feasible. Our standard method of shipping is via USPS Priority Mail, which has the added benefit of allowing customers to track their order from shipping to destination, giving you added peace of mind.

Why don't we ship plants BAREROOT? While some of our competitors ship out plants bareroot (unpotted, with roots wrapped in paper towels or a little bit of Sphagnum moss), we prefer to ship potted plants for several reasons. Most importantly, we grow our plants in pots, and believe that the less you disturb the roots of a plant, the less likely it is to go into shock. Unpotting a plant for shipment, then repotting it when it arrives, is much more stressful than shipping the plant in its pot. And while this may be slightly more expensive, the results speak for themselves. Also, we have received plants from other U.S. carnivorous plant vendors that are still in the same bags in which they were exported from overseas nurseries, demonstrating that they simply ship the plants on to the customer, or keep them sitting in a bag until shipment. We believe that the plants should be grown out for a time in a pot to make sure they are properly acclimated before they go to their new homes; and this can't be done in a bag!

All plants are shipped healthy and ready to grow, and are guaranteed to arrive alive.
