Yes, there are carnivorous bromeliads, but this not one of them! Brocchinia acuminata, though, is found in the same habitat as the carnivorous bromeliad Brocchinia reducta. It is found on the tepuis of the Guyana Highlands, in the same habitat as the South American Pitcher Plants (genus Heliamphora), and can be grown in the same manner. They are a wonderful and unique addition as a companion plant to any carnivorous plant collection, and not commonly available! Potted plants up to six inches tall in 3-inch pots. Get one while we have them!
