Yes, there are carnivorous bromeliads, but this not one of them! Brocchinia hectioides, though, is found in the same habitat as the carnivorous bromeliad Brocchinia reducta. It is found in the Gran Sabana, at the base of the tepuis (tabletop mountains) of the Guyana Highlands, in the same habitat as the South American Pitcher Plants (genus Heliamphora), and can be grown in the same manner. They are a wonderful and unique addition as a companion plant to any carnivorous plant collection, and not commonly available! All our plants are shipped potted and ready to grow to reduce stress, not bareroot as you find with many other suppliers. Get one while we have them!
