Yes, there are carnivorous bromeliads too! Brocchinia reducta is found on the tepuis (tabletop mountains) of the Guyana Highlands, in the same habitat as the South American Pitcher Plants (genus Heliamphora). Insects fall into the central 'urn', where they are digested by the plant. They are a wonderful and unique addition to any carnivorous plant collection, and quite a conversation piece in their own right! All our plants are shipped potted and ready to grow to reduce stress.
