The Alice sundew is native to the Cape Province of South Africa, and creates lovely 2 to 3 inch diameter rosettes of plants. Each leaf is covered with scores of hair-like tentacles which have a drop of glistening, sticky 'dew' on their tips. When small insects (fruit flies, gnats, and other small flying insects especially) come into contact with the dew, they become mired and are eventually digested by the plant. What a unique way to reduce these pesky little insects in your home, yard or greenhouse! All our plants are shipped potted and ready to grow to reduce stress, not bareroot as you find with many other suppliers. We usually only have a few of these at a time, so get one now!
