For many people the Cape Sundew, Drosera capensis, is their first experience with sundews. This is probably because they are very easy to grow, and make a nice addition to a terrarium or carnivorous plant collection. In addition, their long, tentacle-covered leaves make them an ideal candidate to help control small flying pests like mosquitoes and flies! This is usually because they are one of the easiest sundews to grow, and make a nice addition to a terrarium or carnivorous plant collection. These are a bit different, though. Unlike the typical form (which has green leaves and red tips on the tentacles), the leaves on this 'Narrow Red' form have very thin leaf petioles, and they will turn quite red when they are grown in good lighting. Very colorful! Please note that the plants you order will be identical clones of the plant in the photograph, but may not exhibit as much red when shipped.
