The female parent is one of BE's unnamed clones of Nepenthes burkei, which has a wonderful superficial resemblance to the shape and patterning found on Nepenthes hamata. Couple this with the wide, flaring peristome of the rarely available Nepenthes veitchii from Sungai Samba, and the fact that this is the best of the batch, and we can virtually guarantee these won't last for long! This particular clone was originally selected from amongst many for what appeared at the time to be a completely uniform striking lime-green coloration. Borneo Exotics later found that when mature, pitchers may form a rust red hue on the peristomes. The photos shown here are of this specific clone, and show the varied appearance of the pitchers. All our plants are shipped potted and ready to grow, not bareroot as you find with many other suppliers. Note: for those who want to keep track of Borneo Exotics' item codes, this is BE-3934.
