Nepenthes copelandii was originally described in 1908, but the originally collected specimen was lost in World War II. Fortunately for Nepenthes collectors, it was rediscovered in the mid-1990s, and seeds were brought into cultivation for tissue culture purposes. Nepenthes copelandii has beautiful green and red lower pitchers, but the funnel shaped upper pitchers are phenomenal...they're almost WHITE, with a candy-striped peristome! All our plants are shipped potted and ready to grow to reduce stress, not bareroot as you find with many other suppliers. For those who are keeping records, this is Borneo Exotics' item BE-3046.
