Nepenthes hispida

Its characteristic hairy leaves and stems are very interesting, and are a feature that is shared with the closely related Nepenthes hirsuta. In fact, some taxonomists consider them the same species. The pitchers of this species are medium-sized and egg-shaped, covered with faint purple spots on the outside...wonderful in a hanging basket as they gain some size!
