Nepenthes maxima 'Gunung Lumut, best clone' - BE-3067

This plant was originally obtained by Borneo Exotics as Nepenthes eymae. However, after it produced upper pitchers, the staff at BE recognized this as 'the most spectacular clone of Nepenthes maxima we've ever seen." PetFlyTrap staff had an opportunity to visit Gunung Lumut during an expedition to Sulawesi in August 2013, and can attest to the beauty of the plants there! This clone surpasses many others because of its wide, flaring, nearly BLACK peristomes on lower pitchers and wonderful candy-striped peristomes on the upper pitchers, well-striped pitcher body, and leaves with a wonderful red tinge to them!
