Description

This is a beautiful yet highly variable hybrid of two lowland-growing Nepenthes species; and the features of the parents are spectacular! Nepenthes mirabilis var. globosa (previously called Nepenthes 'Viking') produces round, pink-hued tubby pitchers with pronounced 'wings' and darker veins on the outside of the pitchers. And adult Nepenthes hemsleyana (previously considered a form of N. rafflesiana with elongated pitchers) plants can be well over three feet across, with pitchers up to a foot tall and as big around as a baseball! These are seed-grown individual clones of this hybrid, and we expect individual plants to show varying degrees of these traits as they mature. Some will show more of the female parent's traits, while some of them will show more of the male parent's traits. No two will be exactly alike...very neat! Since these are seed-grown plants, there will be male and female plants in the mix too. Please note that the plant you receive will be a random seed-grown individual - we cannot honor requests for a plant with specific traits. All our plants are shipped potted and ready to grow to reduce stress, not bareroot as you find with some other suppliers. Water and enjoy!
