Nepenthes spectabilis is well-known and commonly used for hybridizing for its highly contrasting coloration and striped peristomes; while Nepenthes ampullaria produces tubby pitchers liberally covered with speckles. A neat combination! We have found this to be a very hardy Nepenthes as well; give it a try!
