Description

While this is not a difficult plant to grow, it is not common in cultivation! Nepenthes viellardii is only found (endemic to) the island of New Caledonia, and is the most easterly-growing Nepenthes species in the wild. It has pitchers that are up to 7 inches tall, and the pitchers and entire plant usually have a nice reddish hue. It is typically found growing in a more mineral-based soil than most other Nepenthes, and we have these potted in a mix that is quite a bit different from our usual Nepenthes soil! A wonderful rarely available addition to any serious Nepenthes collector's collection! Get one while we even have them!
