This is one of our favorite complex hybrids of multiple lowland-growing Nepenthes species; and the specific features of the parents are spectacular! Nepenthes mirabilis var. globosa (previously called Nepenthes 'Viking') produces round, tubby pitchers with pronounced 'wings' on the outside of the pitchers. Nepenthes ampullaria also produces tubby pitchers, but with no wings and a diminutive hood that does not even cover the pitcher opening. And adult Nepenthes rafflesiana plants can be well over three feet across, with pitchers up to a foot tall and as big around as a baseball! These are all plants from one specific clone of this three-species hybrid, and we expect individual plants to show the same traits as you see in the photos. Very neat! All our plants are shipped potted and ready to grow to reduce stress, not bareroot as you find with some other suppliers. Water and enjoy!
