Own a piece of history with this one! Nepenthes x mastersiana is a Victorian hybrid that was created at Veitch Nurseries during a period in the early 19th century known as the 'golden age' of Nepenthes, when nurseries were actively collecting and hybridizing exotic carnivorous pitcher plants. The full parentage of this hybrid is Nepenthes sanguinea x khasiana. We absolutely love the scarlet red pitchers on this one, and the delicate candy-striped lip (peristome) on freshly opened pitchers is an added bonus! Of course, one of the best characteristics of this plant is its ease of growth...due in part to the combination of multiple parents with differing growing conditions. Get one of these while we even have them...we only have a couple of cuttings available at any one time! All our plants are shipped potted and ready to grow to reduce stress, not bareroot as you find with some other suppliers. Water and enjoy!

Amazing vining Victorian plant!

Ordered an N. Mastersiana as a size XL hanging basket - it arrived in wonderful health as a 18" vine with two humongous pictures and not a single break along the stem. PFT will definitely be receiving more of my business!
