Pinguicula moranensis var. neovolcanica is a large-leaved butterwort that originates from the south-central portion of Mexico, from coast to coast. This particular one originates from the Mexican state of Guerrero, where it grows on rocky slopes, and specimens have been found that are up to 30 cm (almost 12 inches) in diameter! As its varietal name implies, it often grows on the slopes of old volcanoes too! As with other butterworts in the moranensis group, it has large round rosettes of leaves. Nice pink to purple flowers in spring too! As with almost all of the butterworts we offer, this is a neat and easy to grow butterwort too! All our plants are shipped potted and ready to grow to reduce stress. Just water and enjoy!
