At first glance, butterworts look like any other harmless plant, but the top surface of this butterwort's leaves are covered with sticky mucilage, and can trap scores of small fungus gnats, midges, fruit flies and other small insects. These are an excellent addition to your kitchen windowsill! They are native to the southeastern US, and they multiply like weeds...wherever the leaves touch good soil, they grow new plantlets, and create a carpet of plants. This clone also has very uncommon white flowers; neat!! All our plants are shipped potted and ready to grow to reduce stress. Ready to start catching insects right away!
