Pinguicula 'Sumidero' is relatively new to cultivation, and as its name implies, it is from the Christmas Tree waterfall formation in Sumidero Canyon, near San Cristobal in Chiapas, Mexico; and there is a possibility that these are new species of Pinguicula! There are multiple clones of these plants in cultivation (this is 'Form 2'), but all seem to share the same basic characteristics: round, glowing green leaves even in bright light, on a medium to large-sized plant when mature. Pink to purple flowers too. Wonderful! As with almost all of the Pinguicula we offer, this is a neat and easy to grow butterwort! All our plants are shipped potted to reduce stress. Ready to grow for you...just water and enjoy!
