The taxonomic status of Pinguicula zecheri is debated by some; some experts feel this is a separate species, while others feel this is another variety of Pinguicula moranensis with a larger flower. It is native to the area near Puerto del Gallo, in Guerrero, Mexico. And while its status may be controversial, there's no doubt it's a nice plant! This is a neat and easy to grow butterwort, with medium-large, rounded leaves and beautiful flowers to boot! The leaves generally stay green even in good lighting, while the flowers are wonderful shades of purple in springtime. Nice! All our plants are shipped potted and ready to grow to reduce stress, not bareroot as you find with many other suppliers.
