Sarracenia 'Juthatip Soper' is a man-made hybrid Sarracenia, and was developed among other reasons for its beautiful coloration and ease of care. Bred by Matthew Soper in the U.K., this is a selected cross between Sarracenia leucophylla, Sarracenia purpurea and Sarracenia leucophylla 'Pink'. In fact, this plant won a prestigious Royal Horticultural Society Award of Merit in 1998! When mature, these plants reach 18 to 24 inches tall, with beautiful striking red and white patterning throughout the hood and upper pitcher. Combine that with their insect eating capabilities, and this is one great plant! These are not in production in many nurseries, but we have a small supply at present. This batch is currently being grown in our greenhouse under lights and will do best if kept in indoor conditions this winter. Please treat them normally next spring (2020), giving them full sun and winter dormancy. Unless otherwise specified, all our plants are shipped potted and ready to grow to reduce stress. Just add water!
