Description

This one is another one of our personal favorites! We obtained our original plant as a seedling from another grower years ago, and have been carefully working with it ever since to produce divisions of it. Well they are finally ready to sell, and it definitely has the best characteristics of both parents! The Sarracenia purpurea x psittacina parent gives this plant darker coloration and shorter, stockier pitchers, while the Sarracenia minor parent gives it a medium-tall height and rounded, curving hood. It also exhibits a high degree of hybrid vigor, and seems to do wonderfully for us, even in Houston's extreme summer heat. An excellent choice for a beginner plant, but since it's only available as divisions of our parent stock, we don't have many of them! Unless otherwise specified, all our plants are shipped potted and ready to grow to reduce stress; not bareroot as you find with many other suppliers.
