Sarracenia purpurea

Sarracenia purpurea is one of our favorite species of Sarracenia, and one of the shortest varieties too. They often grows in the partial shade of other plants, making it an acceptable choice for an indoor terrarium. When grown in bright light, however, the entire pitcher initially is covered with deep red veins on a glowing green background. But eventually many of these can turn almost solid deep red...awesome! Unless otherwise specified, all our plants are shipped potted to reduce stress.
