Description

S. x catesbaei is hybrid pitcher plant, and is a cross between the Purple Pitcher Plant, Sarracenia purpurea, and the Yellow Pitcher Plant, Sarracenia flava. It has great hybrid vigor, and brings together the best characteristics of both species. Medium-tall pitchers have wide, flaring hoods, with deep red veins marking a bold green background. It often grows in the partial shade of other plants, so it is a good candidate for a terrarium, or for growing on a windowsill. Unless otherwise specified, all Sarracenia are shipped potted to reduce stress. Water and enjoy!
