Description

A new addition to the PetFlyTrap product line! Bladderworts (Utricularia) are carnivorous plants that produce bladder-shaped traps that suck in small prey items. There are both aquatic and terrestrial species. generally speaking, aquatic species can be grown in something as simple as a bucket of pond water, while terrestrial bladderworts such as this one are wonderful additions to any carnivorous plant collection; and can be especially rewarding in a terrarium with other plants! This particular clone of Utricularia calycifida is found in the Gran Sabana...the 'bottomlands' that surround the tabletop mountains (tepuis) of northern Brazil and Guyana. It produces large leaves that create a ground cover, and large pink-tinged flowers. It is planted in Sphagnum moss. All our plants are shipped potted and ready to grow to reduce stress. Very few available though!
