'Martah's Lips' is a unique variety of Venus Flytrap in that the trap edges are finely toothed and undulating, much like the edges of a Giant Clam shell! There has been a bit of controversy, though, surrounding the correct name for this cultivar. We obtained our starts of this plant many years ago from the original person who named the cultivar, and it was named 'Martahs Lips' - a unique (Eastern European) spelling of the proper name Martha - at that time. Over the years, however, it appears that others have either sold this same cultivar with an incorrectly spelled cultivar name ('Marthas Lips'), OR they have marketed other (different) plants with the 'Marthas Lips' name in hopes of taking advantage of the desirability of this cultivar. As of October 2021, we have been in communication with the originator of this plant, and have undeniably verified that we have the actual cultivar, and that the correct name should be 'Martahs Lips', just as we have always marketed this plant. Rest assured that you are getting the real deal from PetFlyTrap.com!

This one is a definite for the flytrap collector, and just as easy to grow as other flytrap varieties! We only have a few available at this time, so get this one now!! Please note that as with many flytrap cultivars, this cultivar might produce traps that do not show the same level of characteristics as you see in the photo. Traps like those in the photo are more typically seen on larger, more mature plants. All plants are shipped potted and ready to grow to reduce stress, so all you do is water and enjoy.
