This one is brand new to us, and quite different from the vast majority of flytrap varieties we offer! While the name that we have affectionately given it is not registered, we have found it to be very appropriate. The leaves tend to be unusually long and blade-like, terminating in oversized traps and nice red inner walls to the traps. The thin leaves really make the traps stand out! Watching the traps chomp down on a nice juicy insect meal is intriguing to people of all ages. As with all of the more colorful flytrap varieties, these plants get their best color when grown in bright light. These are small plants to start, but will grow by leaps and bounds, and are an ideal candidate to help control all sorts of insect pests as they get larger!
